About
Marina Sweetsir, formerly Evans, is a loyal, experienced tribal consultant from Hughes and Rampart. She is the daughter of the late Donald and Marilyn Evans. Married to Francis Sweetsir of Tanana. Together they raise four beautiful children, each with a name beginning with M, the inspiration behind her business name. Marina has been helping Alaska Native people and entities in the Interior for 11 years. She knows how to keep things organized, support families and make sure things run smoothly. She serves with empathy, cultural knowledge and has a strong connection to the Interior region and it’s people. Through her years of experience she has learned about and managed Tribal Transportation Programs (TTP) for numerous tribes in the interior. She also has years of experience working in Shareholder Records at Doyon, Limited and is very knowledgeable of all their policies and procedures. She now wants to share her skills with more communities through her own business.

Delivering strategic oversight, technical assistance and management of transportation program, financial reporting, acting as liaison between tribe and various transportation entities, inventory updates, TTP grant assistance, developing and implementing strategic transportation plans, i.e. Tribal Transportation Improvement, Long Range Transportation, Transit and Safety Plans, which aid in securing grant funding
Community Event Planning
Planning and facilitating community events, i.e. cultural activities, wellness gatherings or any events as requested by the tribe
Expert Administrative Support
Providing tailored administrative solutions that streamline tribal operations and strengthens organizational efficiency. Available to run errands, support staff, document preparation or creation, formatting and/or editing, finalizing professional letters, forms, reports, or grant drafts and all other duties or projects as needed.
